This notice DOES NOT give any one rights to operate on the frequencies without prior authorization. We require that ALL transmitting Base Stations be legally licensed to operate using FCC type-accepted radios. All mobile users MUST have authorization of the I-WARN Board of Directors to operate on our frequencies.

FCC Licensing / Frequency Coordination Fees

FCC Fees:  New License $105, modification $55; renewal $210  (So, the more modifications at the same time, less FCC Fees) There is a limit of 6 base/repeater stations per FCC License, and we want to have as many on a license as possible. The more modifications submitted at one time, the cheaper the FCC & coordinator fees are going to be, while being more successfully coordinated, since its all under associated licenses.  It is also cheaper to renew fewer licenses, than multiple. BASE STATIONS There is a $170 Frequency Coordination Fee to license each base location.  This would have to be paid by you/your organization.   For more information, see our frequency coordinator, EWA (formerly ITA)  LINK       FEE Link (pdf) REPEATER STATIONS Frequency Coordination Fee is $340.  This includes the Repeater and the input frequency for the 40km radius around the transmitter.   This fee also includes ALL "FX1" stations, which are repeater input "base stations" (Radios that operate from a base antenna, transmitting on the input frequency of the repeater--must be 20 feet or less).  MOBILE STATIONS There are no additional charges for mobile frequencies in the 3 states we are licensed for.
